Update on Chris Kirchner from Administrators


American Businessman Chris Kirchner is the man who is all over the media as the person set to take Derby County out of administration.


Today Andrew Hosking from Quantuma spoke live on Talksport to address the situation. Here's what he had to say -


They can confirms they've had an offer from Kirchner and that he's in top 2/3 to takeover club - He has shown more then sufficient funds - it is now our job to make sure they have the best individual to help Derby exit admin.


They then once again expresses 2/3 more individuals also interested, they may not be moving at the same pace. The next steps is how to exit admin and conclude outstanding matters with Middlesborough, Wycombe, EFL and HMRC. They have plans to have discussions next week with them.


There is on going discussion i.e. pointts deductions with EFL. Most likely to be awarded this season, the appeal process is ongoing - proceedings to be sorted before new owner comes in.


When asked about timescales - EFL now trying to engage with admin to get things wrapped up such as points deductions, appeals etc - looking at exiting admin in the next 3 weeks! but could be done by first week of January at latest.


On Wayne Rooney, they said that he has a significant pull for new owners both in the United States and in Europe.


They admired how meticulous Kirchner was. He walked every yard of the training ground and the stadium, expressed great passion, admin not passing comment on Kirchner's social media posts.


Kircher is very switched on and has very switched on advisors, he knows what he is talking about, will be there on Saturday at the Blackburn game.


They ended the interview by saying Derby fans can be optimistic for the future!
