No Backer for Kirchner

Chris Kirchner was once again sat in the directors box whilst witnessing Derby’s 2-1 defeat to Blackburn at the weekend.

Whether he is in pole position to take the club or not, he certainly is acting like it.

He was seen sitting with former Manchester City Chief executive Garry Cook and Wayne Rooney’s agent Paul Stretford.

He confirmed to BAWT that Cook is his adviser and that Stretford is a friend of his.

There is little online that suggests how much Kirchner is worth, but his business Slync hit a revenue of $4.7 million in 2021.

This is hardly enough to buy a football club.

BAWT reached out to Kirchner to see if he had any backers that would help fund the club. He responded with the following -

“I’ll be the sole owner of the club, as I have indicated to the EFL.”

We have asked about the stadium and if he is buying that as well but he couldn’t comment due to an NDA.
