Carlisle Capital give update

Earlier this week Chris Kirchner publicly stated he was interested in buying Derby County Football Club out of administration.

Andrew Hosking, one of the administrators working on behalf of Quantuma, took to TalkSport Radio to discuss this with Simon Jordan and Jim White.

He spoke very positively about him, but he also stated there were 2 or 3 parties still interested and tbat he is not in pole position.

The Athletic reported that former Rams chairman Andy Appleby is one who his very interested. BAWT have reached out to him previously and he has confirmed that with us.

American Investment firm Carlisle Capital were another party named by the national media. BAWT had previously reached out to them and they confirmed their interest.

We reached out to them again to see if they could provide us with an update following on from Kirchner stating his intent.

Vice President Colin Binnie responded with the following -

“Again given the confidentiality restraints there is not much information I can share. Carlisle Capital remains interested and are aware of Mr. Kirchner's interest in acquiring the club.”

It now looks as if the search for a new owner is well and truly heating up.

BAWT will do our best to keep fans updated on the situation.
